Yeah, Nintendo is very colorful, which is one of the reasons I like their games. 🙂

I like the colourful tracks; because Nintendo is a very colourful company; don’t get me wrong; some of the darker courses are great too; they just are never as good as the colourful tracks, get my drift? :3
Mario Kart 8 allows Nintendo to launch into a wider variety of courses and the music, can’t forget the music…!!
Either way; it’ll be interesting to see the course the games take; they don’t have to be exact representations right? After all, it’s a game! 🙂

Yeah, it certainly would make for a very colorful track.
Wouldn’t surprise me to see more characters and stages based on stuff like Splatoon in Mario Kart 9. 8 already open the doors, right?

I have been looking at a lot of stuff, but I’m not sure if they will choose who I think they will, since in Hawaiian mythology most deities operate in a kind of duality, where there will be one ruling over something and then another that is the opposite. A bit confusing sometiems, but since I like researching mythology, religion and other old stuff, I’m still having fun! XD

And what I meant about the comments just happened.
When I have the approval system on, WordPress tells me with a little glowing ball that I have X comments to read and approve.

It’s not being discussed much, since some people think that the hotel thingy that shows up in the trailer is similar to one in Singapore. They aren’t even looking at all the other evidence they have been sharing even outside of the trailer that clearly points to Hawaii. 😀
So it’s normal you haven’t found many people talking about it.
From what I have been slowly researching, it seems to me like they would need to give you the Surf, Waterfall, and maybe Dive, HMs much earlier in this region, which certainly would make it pretty unique when compared to others. But that depends on what places they would choose to use. There certainly are a lot of Waterfalls in Hawaii, and even some that might be related to one of the cover legends if my theory is correct… but that’s a conversation for after I make the post later in the week. 😛
It’s not that the region makes or breaks the game, it’s more like, if we know where the region is based on, we can look up what to expect. Like potential animals, places, etc, they might use as inspiration.

Ahh; see, I’m not really keeping up with everything, I haven’t been going out of my way to find information about games, recently. Hawaii would be a pretty cool region though I’m sure. I’d be interested to read your article; especially if it helps a “noob” like myself understand stuff 😛

I really haven’t seen or been to any arcades here in Portugal. If some exist, it’s probably in some of the bigger 3 or 4 cities, so there shouldn’t even be one who would have this kind of games in it…

I didn’t find it disappointing at all, once I started looking at the concept art and connecting dots.
I’m pretty sure, based on all of that, that the region will be based on Hawaii. 😀

There’s more proof in the trailer and things they have said than people realize. 🙂

Actually that would make more sense, the kids pick the dragon, while all the experienced Splatoon players pick Blue… I see.
I was just asking because it’s such a horrible name; but since it’s a Japanese arcade game; it won’t make it over here anyway. (Australia barely has any decent arcades anyway)
As for NY; when I was there (albeit, back in 2012) it seemed to have game stations everywhere. I’m not completely sure though, I don’t exactly remember much from my holiday, unless it was a theme park related 😛

The NY store always had a lot of merchandise, and I think they really didn’t focus on the areas with games that much. Anyways, the store is really big, so it’s not like they would have more than a wall of shelves with games, you know? o.0′
I’m gonna bet you that one of the casual titles is Detective Pikachu and maybe the other casual title will be either Rhythm Heaven or Style Savvy… =_=
