SEGA Interviews July 24 Feature

SEGA comments on positive feedback from Famitsu interview, no plans for more 3D Classics

Haruki Satomi, CEO of SEGA Games, was recently interviewed by Famitsu earlier this month. During the interview, he talked about the company wanting to make more quality games and how they have learned from its subsidiary Atlus.

It seems like most SEGA fans reacted positively to what Satomi shared with Famitsu, and he has since commented on the reaction, telling this to Siliconera:

“Seeing our fans across the world respond to our recent interview with Famitsu, lets us know we’ve made the right first step in acknowledging who we are and where we want to be. Sega is dedicated to bringing you quality gaming experiences and becoming a brand you love and trust again.”

In addition to this, Producer Yosuke Okunari recently told Nintendo World Report that there are “no plans for additional SEGA 3D Classics”. However, he did say the company is monitoring the sales performance of the other games and also expressed interest in working with the New 3DS:

If the uptake for New 3DS is very strong, I would really like to give it a shot, yes. We currently have no plans for additional SEGA 3D Classics, though. But we are keeping a close eye on how they are doing in the marketplace.

NOTE: Hopefully SEGA can get their stuff straight going forward…
