Nintendo Puppets Future June 22 Feature

[Update] Nintendo confirms Digital Event Puppets are to be used in future projects, World Championships to return next year

[Update]

CNET’s article has been updated, their report was apparently incorrect:

A previous version of this story said Nintendo plans to hold its World Championship next year. This is incorrect; Nintendo has yet to say whether it plans to hold another World Championship in the future.

[Update End]

Josh Thomas, our gaming friend from The Bit Block, got some insider information at E3 and has confirmed that Nintendo plans to use their Digital Event puppets made byΒ The Jim Henson Company in other future video projects.

In addition, according to a report from CNET, the Nintendo World Championships will once again be held next year, which isn’t a surprise considering this year’s success. The outlet apparently heard about these plans straight from Nintendo.

I’m really happy that they will use those puppet again. And that’s cool for the Nintendo World championship the hype was real this year and that’s was really cool to watch.

Hopefully they do an actual WORLD Championship in the future, whether it’s next year or not doesn’t really matter.
It’s great to see they will be re-using those puppets; I wonder if the Iwata puppet will be hidden in some of those ‘future video projects’ which would most likely be Nintendo Directs πŸ˜› What else could it be?

Okay, well; I’ve sent the link to the thread on an alternate subreddit, since the nintendo one rejected it because it had ‘NX’ in the title.

You’ve got me questioning Metroid now… what else could they be working on? ANOTHER Donkey Kong game? While the option for launch titles of a 3D Mario Game, Cross-plat Zelda and a Donkey Kong game would be feasible, so would a Metroid Game replacing DK… in my opinion more Metroid/Core games would come over to a good quality FPS game on NX…. but I guess Nintendo isn’t always thinking business and money.

Oh well, It’s all speculation currently, so yeah :/

It’d be great if I got some of it right though! :3

Diddy Kong Racing didn’t even enter my head… that’d be a great launch title πŸ˜‰

and I definitely thought about them making a new IP, but I think when the time is right, Retro will propose a really great idea…

That tactic of denying a games existence and then revealing it has been done before, hasn’t it πŸ˜›

and yeah, No DK… it was just too unlikely.
