Results of the Famitsu Splatoon Survey and 3rd Japanese Splatfest

Earlier this month, Famitsu held a survey on its website to study the tendencies of Japanese Splatoon players. 3,798 responses were recorded between July 8 and July 13 pertaining to various aspects of the game.

Below you can find some charts and data from the results to the various answers.

First we have the three charts covering elements players most like in the game, their current level and their current rank.

In addition to these charts, here are the results obtained from various questions:

Do you play usual FPS and TPS games?

Yes: 29%, No: 71%

Do you play as a boy or girl?

Girl: 73%, Boy: 27%

Which weapon type do you use the most often?

Shooters: 71%, Rollers: 20%, Chargers 9%

54% of players feel that the design and abilities are both important in valuing a piece of gear, while 31% said that only their abilities matter, and just 15% said that the design is most important.

Famitsu also asked respondents how they play. 64% said they’re active in splatting enemies whereas 36% noted that they devote themselves to inking.

Ranking of players’ least favorite stage:

1. Bluefin Depot – 754 votes
2. Arowana Mall – 585 votes
3. Port Mackerel – 509 votes

53% of poll participants said that they prefer Marie in Splatoon, while Callie received the remaining 47% of the votes.

Lastly, on a scale of 0-100, the average player satisfaction rating came in at 90%.

The breakdown of the results is as follows:

0-69 points: 2%
70-79 points: 5%
80-89 points: 21%
90-99 points: 53%
100 points: 19%

 

In addition to the results of the survey, we also got the results of the 3rd Japanese Splatfest, and KIRIN Milk Tea won by a rather large margin, as you can see below.
