There is about one day left and the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Kickstarter campaign refuses to slow down!
In the last few days, the game has achieved a total of almost 4.5 million dollars, dethroning RPG Torment: Tides of Numenera as the most funded video game in Kickstarter history, at least so far.
With this value, some new stretch goals have also been reached, including:
- Orchestrated Tracks;
- Online Challenge Mode;
- 3rd Playable Character;
- Prequel mini-game for PC/Consoles.
This leaves only the prequel for portables and the roguelike dungeon mode stretch goals missing, but there is still a little over a day, so maybe they will be able to reach them in the end.
The developers uploaded some early off-screen footage of the game in action. You can watch it below:
In addition to all of this, Shovel Knight from Yacht Club Games is confirmed to be making an appearence of some sort in the game. We just don’t know exactly what is planned yet.
Here’s what the team behind the game had to say and a picture of what he can end up looking like:
Remember Natsume’s Shovel Knight fanart from earlier in the campaign? It’s been about a decade, in Kickstarter years, so I’ll refresh your memory (see above).
We’ve got good news: Inti Creates and Yacht Club Games have agreed that Natsume’s reimagining of their hero feels right at home in the demon castle!
They won’t tell us any more than that, but when the game comes out remember that you might bump into this guy in a crowded corridor somewhere. Who knows what might happen after that?
